Chef Nick Krug
Nick is our manager, chef, and innkeeper. Nick spent his earlier days cooking in a Benedictine Monastery where he worked in the orchards and in the kitchens with the Sisters. This experience, along with his fond memories of his grandmother, fostered a relationship which is visible in his unique style of baking and cooking.
After earning his degree at the Pennsylvania Culinary Institute in 1999, he continued his training at the Opryland Hotel in Nashville. During this time, his experience ranged from bars and saloons to steakhouses and fine dining.
After leaving Nashville, he returned home and spent 15 years as Executive Chef at a premier Pittsburgh event production company, All in Good Taste Productions, where he orchestrated notable events for a variety of distinguished clients, including the President of the United States. He was also a private chef for a prominent Pittsburgh family and spent a few of those years working on their yacht on Jupiter Island, Florida. After that, he took some time to travel the country and abroad.
Nick has been with the Inn on Negley for over ten years, sharing his extraordinary culinary talent and attention to detail.
